Q6: Why roughage is important is in our food?
Answer:  Although roughage food has no nutritional value, it contributes in our diet. It performs following functions:
  1. It prevents conditions like constipation and helps in regulating digestion.
  2. It helps in regular movement of bowels.
  3. It helps the movement of food to pass down the alimentary canal.
  4. Helps body get rid of undigested food.

Answer:

The food pyramid helps us know how to eat right. It helps us stay healthy. There are six groups in food pyramid.

The five main food groups are:
  • Grains
  • Fruits
  • Vegetables
  • Proteins
  • Milk
We should eat from these food groups everyday.
